Dear Edgewood ​Community,
We are excited to see many of you at today's open house and teacher meet and greet at 2:00.  Below is a message from our Edgewood PTA president, Alia Nickel.

Welcome Back Edgewood Elementary Families!
We hope you all had a wonderful summer and are ready for another great year at Edgewood Elementary! On behalf of the Edgewood PTA, we’d like to extend a warm welcome back to all returning families—and a big shout-out to our kindergarten families joining the Edgewood community for the first time! We’re so glad you’re here.
The Edgewood PTA is excited for a fun-filled year ahead, supporting our amazing students, families, staff, and school. We invite all families to get involved—whether that means coming to a meeting, helping at an event, or simply cheering us on!
Here are some exciting events to look forward to this school year:

• Ice Cream Social – September 10
   A free community-building event for all Edgewood families. Donations are welcome but not required!
• Fun Run – October 17
   Our energetic annual fundraiser promoting health and school spirit.
• Fun Night – April 24
   A carnival-style evening of games, food, and fun for students, staff, and families—held right at the school. This is super fun fundraiser of the year.
• Online Auction – May 26–31
   Bid on great items while supporting the Edgewood PTA from the comfort of your home.

More details will be shared as each event approaches, so stay tuned!
PTA Meetings
 Join us on the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 6:30–7:30 PM in the school library. Everyone is welcome—whether you just want to listen in, share ideas, or get involved in planning.
The PTA truly loves this school and is dedicated to making it the best environment possible for learning and growth. If you’d like to be a part of that mission, here are a few ways you can help:

• Attend a PTA meeting
• Become a member to have a voice in how funds are spent. To become a member go to  www.pta.org and enter Edgewood as PTA name.
• Think about becoming a board member in the upcoming years
• Volunteer your time at an event
• Donate directly or by participating in PTA events
  • The PTA's mission statement
• 'Make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children'
